How hypnotherapy supports workplace wellbeing

Practical wellbeing workshops

A practical workshop begins with an accessible explanation of the chosen topic and recognisable examples, such as a pressured meeting, an unfinished task or difficulty switching off. We connect each exercise with a moment in the working day.

My clinical hypnotherapy approach includes working with automatic expectations, unhelpful beliefs and familiar patterns of thinking. Techniques can include focused attention, imagery, personalised suggestions and mental rehearsal. In a workshop these sit alongside discussion and practical skills; a dedicated group hypnosis session gives more time to the guided work.

Guided hypnosis for employees

Hypnotherapy is part of what I offer, rather than a separate, hidden extra. We decide at the planning stage whether you want a practical workshop, group hypnotherapy, private employee sessions or a programme combining them.

In group hypnotherapy, I guide participants through focused attention and imagery, using suggestions around the agreed theme, such as switching off after work or feeling composed before a presentation. It goes beyond a general relaxation break: the suggestions and rehearsal connect with the change participants want to practise.

The format is explained beforehand and participation in hypnosis is optional. People can listen with their eyes open or choose not to join an exercise, and nobody needs to share their personal history with colleagues.

Group hypnotherapy for staff and teams

A group hypnotherapy session offers guided hypnosis around a shared workplace wellbeing theme. Topics can include stress, switching off after work, confidence before presentations or settling into a wind-down routine.

I use focused attention, imagery and therapeutic suggestions to help participants rehearse a calmer response. We agree the theme and format with you beforehand, explain it clearly to staff and make participation optional.

Group sessions can be booked on their own or included in a workshop series. Personal concerns that need individual attention can be discussed separately through private hypnotherapy sessions.

One-to-one corporate hypnotherapy for employees and leaders

Some concerns are better discussed privately. Employer-funded hypnotherapy gives employees, managers and senior leaders space to work on their own stress, anxiety, sleep, presentation nerves or confidence, with personalised hypnosis and goals.

We agree the referral, booking and confidentiality arrangements before a programme starts. An employer funding the sessions does not receive the content of an employee’s conversations. Any administrative reporting and relevant limits to confidentiality are explained to the individual.

Corporate sessions can take place at your workplace or online. We agree a private room and suitable arrangements for individual appointments. A group workshop can be combined with optional one-to-one support, with the scope and quote agreed for your organisation.

Workplace wellbeing programmes

A bespoke employee wellbeing programme can combine practical workshops, group hypnotherapy, private employee sessions and access to my Sootheful audio library over an agreed period. For example, a stress workshop could lead into guided hypnosis for switching off, with optional individual support for people who want to work on their own concerns.

We agree the themes, formats, sequence and follow-up around your team’s needs. A programme might focus on pressure during change, presentation confidence, sleep and recovery or a combination of priorities.

Tailored to your organisation

Tell me what your people are facing and what you would like them to take away. We can adapt examples and exercises for your industry, team size and culture, whether you are a small business, a professional services firm or a larger organisation.

You can choose practical wellbeing education, a clearly described group hypnotherapy session, private employee support or a combination. The proposal sets out topics, participation options, delivery, resources and pricing so you know what you are booking.

Why invest in workplace wellbeing?

Workplace pressure can affect concentration, sleep, working relationships and confidence. Practical wellbeing sessions give employees a chance to understand their responses and practise tools they can use during an ordinary working day.

The Health and Safety Executive explains that employers must assess work-related stress risks and act on them. Workshops can contribute to a wider wellbeing plan, alongside attention to workload, working conditions and management support.

Corporate wellbeing workshops: what I offer

Susannah Saunders Hypnotherapy offers workplace wellbeing workshops, group hypnotherapy and individual employee sessions. You can book a single focused event, a workshop series or a bespoke programme combining group and private support.

A practical workshop can explain a theme such as stress, sleep or confidence and include exercises people can use in daily life. A group hypnotherapy session gives more time to guided hypnosis, with a shared focus agreed beforehand. One-to-one sessions allow an employee to work privately on their own concerns.

Signs of stress at work

Stress can show up in many ways across a team. Common signs include:

  • tiredness and poor sleep
  • irritability or tension in meetings
  • trouble concentrating or making decisions
  • working longer hours to keep up
  • withdrawing from colleagues
  • more time off sick
  • loss of confidence or motivation
  • feeling constantly on edge

Spotting these signs early can help people get support sooner.

Resilience training for teams

Resilience involves adapting to challenges and recovering after difficult periods. Training can help people recognise their stress responses, practise calming skills and identify the support they need.

The focus is on useful responses to pressure and change. Sustainable workloads, clear expectations and supportive management remain part of the picture.

Burnout workshops for teams

Prolonged workplace stress can leave people exhausted, detached from their job and less able to work effectively. A workshop can help teams recognise these patterns, talk about recovery and identify where support or changes at work are needed.

Sessions can include boundaries, switching off, recognising early signs of overload and practical relaxation. They sit alongside organisational action on the pressures people face.

Sleep and stress workshops

Stress can make it harder to settle at night, and tiredness can make the next working day feel more difficult. Sleep workshops explore that cycle and ways to create a more consistent wind-down routine.

Topics can include work-related rumination, switching off from messages and using relaxation before bed. My page on insomnia hypnotherapy has more on personalised sleep support.

Mental health workshops for the workplace

Mental health workshops raise awareness of stress, anxiety and low mood, and how they can show up at work. They help people spot the signs in themselves and others, and know where to find support.

Sessions focus on practical self-care, with techniques for anxiety at work and everyday stress. They are designed to work alongside your existing mental health support.

Wellbeing workshops for managers and leaders

Managers and leaders often carry the pressure of their own work and their team's wellbeing. Sessions for managers, directors and CEOs focus on leading calmly under pressure and spotting stress in others.

They also cover how to look after your own wellbeing, so you can lead by example. One-to-one sessions are available for leaders who want more focused support.

For employees: help with stress, anxiety and burnout at work

If stress or anxiety at work is affecting you personally, you can enquire about private one-to-one sessions as well as employer-supported options. The work is tailored to your experience and the changes you want to make.

My pages on anxiety, insomnia and confidence explain individual support in more detail. If work pressures are contributing, it can also help to speak with an appropriate manager, HR contact, occupational health service or GP.

On-site wellbeing workshops in London

I can come to your offices to deliver workshops in person, whether in the City, Canary Wharf or the West End. On-site sessions work well for team days, wellbeing weeks and lunch and learns.

Being together in the room can help teams share ideas and support each other. All you need is a room where people can sit comfortably.

Online wellbeing workshops and webinars

Live online workshops suit remote and hybrid teams or organisations with staff in several locations. We agree a format that allows people to hear clearly, take part comfortably and ask questions.

If you would like a replay or relaxation audio, we agree what will be recorded and how it can be shared in advance. Private contributions and questions can be kept out of a recording.

Workshop formats

Workshops can be shaped around your diary and your goals. Popular formats include:

  • lunch and learn sessions
  • half-day or full-day workshops
  • team away days
  • live webinars for remote teams
  • a series of sessions over several weeks
  • group relaxation sessions
  • talks for conferences and staff events
  • one-to-one sessions for individuals

Each format can be delivered in person or online.

Wellbeing weeks and awareness days

Workshops can be planned around your own wellbeing week, staff event or awareness campaign. A clear theme makes it easier for people to understand what the session offers and why it may be useful.

Tell me your preferred date, audience and purpose. We can shape a focused session or a series, and agree any follow-up resources as part of the proposal.

Who corporate wellbeing workshops are for

Corporate wellbeing workshops can suit many organisations and teams, including:

  • HR, people and wellbeing teams
  • law firms and financial services
  • technology and creative businesses
  • professional services and consultancies
  • charities and public sector teams
  • start-ups and growing businesses
  • teams going through change or busy periods
  • leadership and management teams

They can be adapted for small teams or larger groups.

Workplace wellbeing alongside other support

Workshops can complement your employee assistance programme, occupational health service and mental health first aiders. We agree how participants will be signposted to the support your organisation already provides.

A group workshop is an educational wellbeing session. Someone whose mental health is affecting daily life may also need individual support from their GP or an appropriate mental health professional.

The benefits of corporate wellbeing workshops

The aim is to give people practical skills they can take back into their working day. Depending on the workshop, participants can leave with:

  • a brief calming practice for pressured moments
  • ways to notice and respond to early signs of stress
  • a clearer plan for switching off and winding down
  • rehearsal tools for presentations and difficult meetings
  • ideas for boundaries and asking for support
  • shared language for talking about everyday wellbeing

We agree the intended learning outcomes before the session and can discuss feedback or follow-up to see what participants found useful.

Choosing a corporate wellbeing provider

When choosing a corporate wellbeing provider, look for recognised qualifications, experience of working with stress and anxiety, and sessions tailored to your people. An initial conversation is a good chance to ask questions and check the approach suits your culture.

I hold the SQHP and HPD qualifications and have been practising as a clinical hypnotherapist since 2003. My clients include managers, directors and CEOs, and my approach is practical, solution-focused and easy to apply at work.

Workplace wellbeing guidance and research

NICE guidance on mental wellbeing at work places organisational approaches at the foundation of a wellbeing strategy, alongside individual support. The HSE Management Standards describe six areas of work design that employers should consider when tackling stress.

The WHO overview of mental health at work discusses working conditions, manager support and skills for managing stress. A 2019 meta-analysis by Valentine and colleagues found reduced anxiety in the hypnosis studies reviewed. That research concerns anxiety; it does not establish a return on investment or prove the results of this particular workshop.

Corporate wellbeing and workplace hypnotherapy: frequently asked questions

Answers for HR, people teams, employers and employees about workshops, group hypnosis, private hypnotherapy, topics, delivery and bespoke programmes.

Choosing corporate wellbeing workshops

What are corporate wellbeing workshops?

Corporate wellbeing workshops give staff practical tools for stress, confidence, resilience and sleep. At Susannah Saunders Hypnotherapy, I offer educational workshops, dedicated group hypnotherapy and private employee sessions. You can choose one format or combine them in a bespoke programme, delivered in London or online.

Which workplace wellbeing workshop should we choose?

Start with the difficulty you most want to address. Stress management suits teams dealing with pressure and switching off; confidence workshops focus on speaking and performance; a wider programme can combine several themes. An initial conversation helps us choose a relevant focus.

Who are your employee wellbeing workshops for?

They can be arranged by HR, people teams, wellbeing leads, managers or business owners. Content can be adapted for small teams, wider staff groups or leaders, including professional services, finance, technology, creative businesses, charities and public sector teams.

Do you offer employee stress management workshops?

Yes. Sessions can explain how stress affects attention, sleep and everyday responses, then introduce practical ways to settle and refocus. We use examples relevant to your team, such as deadlines, meetings, competing priorities or difficulty switching off after work.

Can you provide confidence and performance workshops?

Yes. We can focus on presentation nerves, speaking up in meetings, imposter feelings and staying composed under pressure. Participants practise rehearsal and attention techniques connected to their work, rather than being expected to perform or disclose personal difficulties in front of colleagues.

Do you offer workplace wellbeing programmes as well as one-off talks?

Yes. A programme can combine practical workshops, group hypnotherapy and private employee sessions over an agreed period. We choose the topics, sequence and follow-up around your organisation’s needs, giving participants time to practise techniques and revisit what they find useful.

Are these workshops suitable for small businesses?

Yes. A smaller business can choose a focused session for its team rather than a large programme. Tell me your priorities, approximate group size and available time so I can suggest a format and provide a tailored quote.

Can the workshops be tailored to our industry and culture?

Yes. Beforehand, we discuss your audience, typical work pressures and the language that feels appropriate for your organisation. Examples and exercises can be adapted for the people attending, with clear learning outcomes agreed as part of the proposal.

Corporate hypnotherapy for staff and employees

Can hypnotherapy be part of an employee wellness programme?

Yes. Workplace hypnotherapy brings personalised or group hypnosis into an employee wellbeing programme. I use focused attention, imagery, suggestions and rehearsal around goals such as handling pressure, switching off or feeling more confident. You can arrange shared group sessions, private employee appointments or a combination.

Can we book group hypnotherapy as a standalone staff wellbeing session?

Yes. You can book a dedicated group hypnosis session rather than a wider educational workshop. We agree a shared theme, such as switching off after work or presentation confidence, and explain the format to employees beforehand. The session can take place online or at your London workplace.

What is the difference between a wellbeing workshop and group hypnotherapy?

A workshop combines explanation, discussion and practical exercises, with optional hypnosis where agreed. A dedicated group hypnotherapy session gives more time to guided hypnosis using imagery and therapeutic suggestions around a shared theme. Private one-to-one sessions address an individual employee’s own concerns and goals.

Can a programme combine workshops, group hypnosis and private employee sessions?

Yes. A programme could begin with a practical stress workshop, include group hypnotherapy for switching off and offer optional individual appointments. We agree the mix, timing, referral arrangements and confidentiality before booking. The combination is chosen around your people’s needs rather than a fixed package.

Can corporate hypnotherapy support presentation confidence and imposter feelings?

Yes. Group or individual work can focus on expectations about being judged, making mistakes or not being good enough. Hypnosis can include personalised suggestions and rehearsal of a presentation, meeting or pitch. Private sessions allow an employee to explore concerns they prefer not to discuss with colleagues.

Can employee hypnotherapy focus on sleep and switching off from work?

Yes. Sessions can address work-related rumination, difficulty winding down and familiar evening habits. Guided hypnosis can include suggestions and imagery for a more settled transition after work. A workshop can cover the shared theme, while private sessions allow more personal sleep concerns to be discussed.

Can a hypnotherapy session be part of a staff away day or wellbeing week?

Yes. We can agree a clearly described group hypnotherapy session as part of an away day, wellbeing week or wider staff programme. Tell me the theme, group size, setting and time available. I explain the approach and make participation optional so people know what to expect.

How do we arrange a bespoke corporate hypnotherapy programme?

Tell me about your organisation’s priorities, audience, approximate numbers and preferred dates. We discuss whether workshops, group hypnotherapy, private employee support or a combination fits best. I then prepare a tailored proposal covering delivery, resources, confidentiality arrangements and pricing.

Stress, resilience, burnout and sleep

What can employees learn in a stress management workshop?

Topics can include recognising early signs of stress, understanding familiar reactions, settling before a meeting and returning attention to a task. Employees can practise brief techniques during the session and identify when they would use them in their own working day.

Do you provide resilience training for teams?

Yes. Resilience sessions can focus on responding to setbacks, recognising overload, asking for support and recovering after busy periods. We connect personal skills with the reality of the workplace, including the importance of manageable demands and supportive relationships.

Can you run a burnout awareness workshop?

Yes. We can explore exhaustion, detachment from work and feeling less effective, alongside boundaries, recovery and routes to support. The session helps people recognise patterns and consider next steps; organisational pressures also need attention through management and appropriate workplace processes.

Can a workshop fix excessive workload or a stressful workplace culture?

Workshops can develop useful personal skills, but workload, role clarity, working conditions and management practices need organisational action too. I position sessions within your wider wellbeing approach, alongside the steps your organisation takes to understand and address sources of work-related stress.

Do you run sleep and stress workshops for employees?

Yes. We can cover work-related rumination, switching off from messages, wind-down routines and relaxation. The aim is to help people make practical changes around sleep and stress. Persistent or concerning sleep problems may also need individual assessment or support.

Can you help teams who struggle to switch off after work?

Yes. We can focus on the habit of mentally replaying work, checking messages and carrying tension into the evening. Exercises can include shifting attention, creating a transition after work and rehearsing a more settled end-of-day routine.

Are workshops useful during restructures or organisational change?

They can provide practical support for uncertainty, stress and changing expectations. We agree the focus around your circumstances and avoid asking people to disclose sensitive workplace concerns publicly. Clear communication, consultation and support from the organisation remain important alongside the session.

Do you provide mental health awareness workshops?

Yes. Workshops can explore everyday stress, anxiety, low mood and routes to support in accessible language. The emphasis is practical wellbeing and recognising when more help may be needed. These sessions are separate from a formal Mental Health First Aid qualification.

Managers, confidence and individual support

Can you run wellbeing workshops for managers and leaders?

Yes. Sessions can focus on managing personal pressure, leading calmly, recognising signs of stress and knowing when to direct someone towards support. We tailor the discussion to your managers’ responsibilities and connect it with your existing HR, wellbeing and occupational health arrangements.

Can you help with public speaking and presentation nerves at work?

Yes. A confidence workshop can include preparation, calmer attention and mental rehearsal for pitches, presentations or difficult questions. Individual public speaking hypnotherapy is also available for employees who would prefer to work on their own concerns privately.

Can a workshop address imposter syndrome and speaking up?

Yes. We can explore self-doubt, fear of being judged and holding back in meetings, then practise more balanced responses and rehearsal. Examples can be adapted for new starters, people entering leadership or teams who regularly pitch or present.

Do you offer one-to-one corporate hypnotherapy?

Yes. Organisations can enquire about individual support for employees, managers and senior leaders. Sessions can focus on stress, anxiety, sleep, confidence or other agreed goals. We discuss referral arrangements, booking and confidentiality before setting up employer-funded support.

Are employer-funded one-to-one sessions confidential?

The confidentiality arrangements are explained before sessions begin. Funding a session does not give an employer access to its content. We agree any administrative information required for the arrangement and explain consent and relevant confidentiality limits to the individual.

Will employees need to share personal experiences in a group?

No. People can learn from examples and practise privately without describing their mental health or personal history to colleagues. We agree how questions are handled and can offer ways to ask about the content without making a personal disclosure.

Can employees contact you privately about stress or anxiety at work?

Yes. Employees can enquire directly about private one-to-one support for stress, anxiety, sleep or confidence. The individual treatment pages explain these sessions in more detail. For employer-arranged support, appointments can be delivered at your workplace or online, with privacy arrangements agreed beforehand.

Can workshops work alongside our EAP or occupational health service?

Yes. We can agree signposting to your employee assistance programme, occupational health team or other support. Workshops provide education and practical exercises, while your existing services continue to provide their own assessment, advice and specialist support where needed.

Hypnotherapy, participation and accessibility

How is hypnotherapy used in a corporate wellbeing workshop?

I use focused attention, imagery, mental rehearsal and therapeutic suggestions to work with automatic expectations and familiar reactions. A workshop can include optional guided hypnosis, while a dedicated group hypnotherapy session gives more time to that work. The format and theme are explained before employees take part.

Is a workplace hypnosis session like stage hypnosis?

No. There is no entertainment element or requirement to perform. The approach is collaborative, with a clear explanation and a choice about participation. Employees remain able to speak, keep their eyes open, stop an exercise or simply listen.

Does everyone have to take part in guided relaxation?

No. Participation in a relaxation exercise is optional. Employees can listen with their eyes open, observe or step out if that suits them better. We agree the format beforehand and make the choices clear when introducing the session.

What if some employees are sceptical about hypnotherapy?

Questions are welcome. I explain techniques in ordinary language and connect them with situations people recognise, such as rehearsing a presentation or settling after a busy day. No one needs to hold a particular belief or participate in every exercise.

Can you adapt a workshop for accessibility or sensory needs?

Please tell me about the adjustments your group needs when enquiring. We can discuss pacing, breaks, written resources, camera choices and alternatives to particular exercises. Arrangements are agreed beforehand so employees know what to expect.

Do employees need to lie down or close their eyes?

No. A workshop can take place with people seated comfortably. Closing the eyes during a relaxation exercise is optional. We discuss the room or online setup beforehand so people can take part in a way that suits the setting.

What evidence informs your workplace wellbeing approach?

My approach draws on clinical hypnotherapy training and work with stress, anxiety and confidence. The page links to hypnosis research on anxiety and to NICE, HSE and WHO workplace guidance. Those sources inform the discussion without implying endorsement of a particular workshop.

Is this accredited Mental Health First Aid training?

These are tailored wellbeing workshops rather than a Mental Health First Aid qualification. They can complement your trained first aiders and existing support. If you need a particular accredited course, clarify that requirement when planning your wider staff training.

London delivery, online workshops and formats

Where do you deliver corporate wellbeing workshops in London?

I deliver corporate wellbeing workshops at your workplace, including offices in the City of London, Canary Wharf and the West End. Online delivery is also available. Tell me your venue and preferred date so we can agree suitable arrangements.

Do you offer online wellbeing workshops for remote teams?

Yes. Live online sessions can bring together remote employees or teams in several locations. We agree the delivery platform, length, participation options and question format in advance so people can hear clearly and join comfortably from an appropriate space.

Can you work with hybrid teams?

Yes. We can discuss a format for staff in the room and those joining remotely. Good sound, visibility and a clear way to ask questions matter. In some cases, separate sessions may give each group a more useful experience.

Can we book a wellbeing lunch and learn?

Yes. A lunch and learn can focus on a single practical theme, such as stress, switching off or presentation confidence. We agree the length around your diary and leave room for useful exercises or questions within the time available.

Do you offer half-day workshops, away days and conference talks?

Yes. These formats can be discussed as part of the proposal. A longer session allows more space for exercises and questions, while a staff event or conference talk can focus on a clear theme. The content and timings are agreed for your audience.

How long are corporate wellbeing workshops?

The length is tailored to your format and goals rather than fixed across every booking. Options include a focused lunch and learn, a longer workshop or a series. Tell me the time available so I can suggest a realistic scope.

How many employees can attend a workshop?

Group size is agreed when planning the session. The right format depends on whether you want discussion, exercises, a webinar or individual support. Please include an approximate number in your enquiry so we can plan delivery and provide a suitable quote.

Can webinars be recorded or include a relaxation audio?

A replay, relaxation audio or written resources can be discussed as part of the proposal. We agree the scope and sharing arrangements in advance, including how to keep personal questions and contributions out of any recording.

Planning, pricing and booking

How much do corporate wellbeing workshops cost?

Pricing is tailored to the booking. It depends on the session length, audience size, delivery format, location, preparation and any resources or follow-up support. Contact me with your requirements and I will suggest suitable options with a quote.

What information do you need to prepare a workshop quote?

Please share your organisation, the main theme or goal, approximate participant numbers, preferred dates and whether you want London delivery or an online session. Include the time available and any recording, resource or one-to-one support requirements.

Can you design a wellbeing programme within our budget?

Tell me your budget range and priorities when enquiring. We can discuss whether a focused workshop, a series or another format would make best use of the time available. Scope, deliverables and pricing are agreed in the proposal.

Can we book for a wellbeing week or awareness event?

Yes. Sessions can be themed around your staff wellbeing week or another event in your calendar. Get in touch with the date, audience and purpose, and we can discuss a focused topic and any follow-up activities or resources.

How far ahead should we book a workplace wellbeing workshop?

Contact me once you have a preferred date or planning window. Availability depends on the date, location and preparation needed. If you have flexibility, include a few options so we can discuss a suitable session and schedule.

Can we measure whether employees found the workshop useful?

Yes. We can agree a small set of learning goals and discuss feedback or follow-up questions. Measures might focus on whether people understood a technique and used it afterwards. Longer-term organisational outcomes need wider evaluation rather than being attributed to one workshop.

What qualifications does Susannah Saunders have?

I have practised as a clinical hypnotherapist since 2003 and hold a BSc (Hons) in Psychology, the Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma and Senior Qualification in Hypnotherapy Practice. I am CNHC registered and a GHR registered member. My about page provides more detail.

How do we book a corporate wellbeing workshop?

Use the contact page, call 07973 896907 or email susannah@cityhypno.co.uk. Tell me about your team, priorities and preferred format. We begin with a conversation, then agree a tailored proposal, delivery arrangements and quote before confirming the booking.

Sootheful for employee wellbeing

What is Sootheful and can we offer it to employees?

Sootheful is my online hypnotherapy app: a private, on-demand library of audios created by Susannah Saunders. Workplace licences give staff year-round access on a phone, tablet or computer. The library includes stress, sleep, overthinking, confidence, focus and switching off. Visit sootheful.com or enquire about access for your organisation.

Can Sootheful be combined with live wellbeing workshops?

Yes. Staff can use Sootheful alongside a workshop series, group hypnotherapy or private employee support. It offers audios people can choose in their own time, including short sessions and longer listening options. We can discuss the mix of live sessions and digital access in your tailored proposal.

Do staff need to join a live session to use Sootheful?

No. Sootheful is an on-demand audio library, so employees can listen privately at a suitable time without joining a live workshop. It can be offered as a separate staff wellbeing resource. Hypnosis audios should only be used somewhere safe and quiet, never while driving or operating equipment.

Does Sootheful replace an EAP or individual mental health care?

No. Sootheful supports everyday wellbeing and can complement an employee assistance programme, workshops or individual support. It does not replace medical or psychological care. A workplace licence provides access to the audio library; private hypnotherapy sessions are a separate service.
